Hawkesbury Referees
Hawkesbury & Districts Basketball Association (HDBA) is committed to developing officials in Hawkesbury’s Domestic Competition as well as at Representative level. With officials who have regular training and education of mechanics and rule updates, HDBA officials represent the association at various levels of the game from State through to Waratah League and Sydney Junior Championships.
- HDBA domestic referees service Domestic junior and senior games each week, ranging from Under 10’s junior games through to open senior competitions.
- HDBA referees also represent our association by officiating for our Association in Basketball NSW’s Waratah Wilson Senior League and Waratah Metro Junior League.
- HDBA also offers a range of referee services for external games, from primary, high school and university competitions to various other tournaments.
HDBA’s Referee Development Officers are employed to manage and implement our referee program in conjunction with Basketball NSW and input from experienced NBL referee coaches. This involves recruitment of new officials as well rostering and administration of the program to grow our new officials and develop existing officials. With our officials ranging from 11yrs to 50+yrs, it’s never too late to get involved and give back to the local community.
